I decided to move some of my recording gear down to our rehearsal space this week so we could record our progress. We had been using my Tascam CD recorder for the past several rehearsals and got some rough stuff but I could not leave it alone. I decided a couple of hours before our start time to take it up a notch and bring down my 24 track digital recorder. I mic'd up everything and by the time the guys got here we were ready to lay some rehearsal tracks.

It went great and we got some solid work done on 4 of the arrangements we've been working on.

The goal is to lock down final arrangements and then just work on tightening them up. To date we have about 8 tunes and plan on adding a couple more this coming week. Not bad considering we started just before the holidays and have had several missed rehearsals due to illness and personal stuff. Also we want it to be a quality project and that takes time :)

We are excited about getting out and playing a concert for you soon. We are putting out feelers and hope to book a few things for this spring and Summer. With that in mind we submitted an application to play at the "Go Fourth Festival" here in Longview this July.

I'm going to take a listen to the tracks we did this week and possibly post a few short samples.
